Where are global settings saved

I have to set up my server once again and I would like to save the settings of the global configuration.

Where is this information stored - in a file or in the database?

In the database.
--> jos_components --> Phoca Gallery --> params

Thank you. There I've found the information I needed. The restore worked find. Just a few changes had to be made for the id.
