little help

hello i have a little problem with this component, the problem is i dont want to resize my images i want leave them in their original size. but when i disable thumbnail creation, only categories are made with no picture in them how can i rectify this

Hi,
you need thumbnail creation, because Phoca Gallery needs the thumbnails.
If you dont want to resize the images go to:
backend --> Components --> Phoca Gallery --> Phoca Gallery Control Panel --> Parameters -->
Thumbnail Creation Settings-->
Enable Thumbnails Creation=Yes
Crop Thumbnail=None
backend --> Components --> Phoca Gallery --> Phoca Gallery Control Panel --> Parameters -->
Images and Windows Size Settings -->
Large Image Width=(The max. width of all pictures you want to display)
Large Image Height=(The max. height of all pictures you want to display)
Save your settings!

but in joomgallery in the test site i have no thumnail creation is compulsory. not that i dont want thumnails creation is just that is slows down the administration end of joomgallery (also the upload process which will end up using most of my php memory) and also thinking of making thousands of pictures which i'm doubtful that i'll even be able to do

Hi,
as I told you above, you need the thumbnails and the thumbnail creation for the use of Phoca Gallery. After the thumbnail creation process you should switch thumbnail creation off.
