[SOLVED] Watermark, my Love ^^

Hi all,

As many others, I have some troubles with the watermark on Phoca. Sorry, I'm many not so clever but it doesn't work at all (for instant) !!!

What I've done ?
- Install the latest version of Phoca Gallery on a Joomla 1.5.16.
- Donwload the watermarks files with the backend (component-Phoca-image manager-add)
- Download thes pictures for the gallery on the same way
- Creation of the thumbnails

and .... nothing appear on the pictures on the gallery (thumbnails or large pics).

I've delete all the thumbnails (via Filezilla) and recreate them on the backend : no more

I've also read and apply the documentation (and even translate it in french on our french Joomla forum) but without any positive effect.

Tell me : am I stupid ?

Hi,

1. copy your own created watermark-large.png file and if you like your watermark-medium.png file via eg. FileZilla to /images/phocagallery
2. enable watermark creation. Save your settings.

3. Delete your old thumbnails (without watermarks)
4. Create them new.
That`s it.

Thanks for your answer, Benno.

Unfortunatly, nothing is new here : still no watermarks on large pics ....

The two watermarks files are on the root "images/Phocagallery" with the backend (first time) and with Filezilla (second time).
I've deleted all the thumbnails at images/Phocagallery/Thumbs and recreate them with the backend.

Btw, I've tested it on IE, Firefox and Safari ... and the cache is also empty !

Hi,
Are all recommended settings for Phoca Gallery displayed in green lines?
backend --> Components --> Phoca Gallery --> Phoca Gallery Control Panel --> Info

Hi Benno,

Thanks again.
I had 2 red lines and I turned them in green now.

Then I've delete once again all the thumbnails with File Zilla (image/Phocagallery/Thumbs) and recreate them on the backend.
And now ... no pics on the frontend

What is the next step ?

I change all the settings here : component-Phoca-Image-parameters (just in case...) and not by menu-main_menu-Gallery-parameter component.
Please, can you post here a screen of your parameters settings ? I just want to understand where is the trouble and where I an wrong ^^

That`s correct, but take a look if some of your Phoca Gallery Parameters are overwritten there (because that is possible and can happen..)

Please, can you post here a screen of your parameters settings ? I just want to understand where is the trouble and where I an wrong ^^

And now ... no pics on the frontend

Did you published und autorized your categories?

Did you published und autorized your created images?

Hi Benno,

Thanks for the screens you've posted here. It was very useful for me to understand why I was wrong and how to do correctly.

Pics aer online with the watermark on the right place and thumbnails are online too. Now, everything is correct.
