Hi,
Now the photos show up in the media manager but they show up blank in the phoca gallery and are blank on the website.
I can see your images...?!
Kind regards,
Benno

Thank you for looking. Here is a link showing one of the images being blank.

This image is in the media manager but does not appear in the gallery and does not have a thumbnail in the media manager or gallery.

Cheers,

Ben

hey everyone I had the same problems everyone is describing.. This is how I resolved my problem.

I had built my joomla site on a localhost and then migrated to media temple...
I was having trouble actually displaying the images, like so many of you I was just getting a white box with the title but no image.

Using Firebug- ,Firefox plug-in that shows html and css code, I was able to determine the ftp location of my image files.

Cool iris uses the rss feed generated by the phoca to display your images. So what I did was use firebug to and clicked on the images to determine their location. they were located in 'xyz'.rss so i opened up my ftp client, downloaded the rss file, and performed a simple FIND AND REPLACE anywhere in the RSS that it said 'Localhost' and replaced it with my domain name.

for example

<link>http://localhost/joomla15/images/phocag ... b_l_canvas awning - front view.png</link>

became

<link>http://xyz.com/joomla15/images/phocagal ... b_l_canvas awning - front view.png</link>

I have exactly the same problem, and mine ARE blank! Look at the "Tupelo" gallery on this page:

https://www.phoca.cz/phocagallery

?? One of the gallerys is fine, but I cannot seem to add images to this one.

Images show up in the Media Manager, but not in Phoca. ????

Hi,
Images show up in the Media Manager, but not in Phoca.
Did you add them to the system?

Jan is right, you must add images uploaded with Media Manager into the Phoca system.

But, I had this "blank image" problem and my solution revolved around file/folder permission issues. I have a Joomla unfriendly host who seems to either keep mucking with the permissions OR the default permission on a created folder is something Joomla doesn't like. Whatever, I found running Akeeba Admin Fix Permissions solved my problem. Be aware of that snake that can bite also! :o
