Newbie question: Can't find Parameters

Installed Gallery recently and find it very easy to work with. I am having a problem, though. I see in the user manual that I have a lot of control over settings in Parameters. I can't find them! In the user manual, I see this:

"You can configure Phoca Gallery to your own wishes. In the configuration of Phoca Gallery you can set a lot of things. This document will explain each setting. You can change the setting here:

Components » Phoca Gallery » Control Panel » [Parameters] button."

When I open the control panel, this what I see:



What am I missing? Where is the access to Parameters? Thanks in advance.

yes, there is missing something.

Try to install Phoca Gallery once more,
and read this thread: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=7573

I read the post you listed. I saw reference to a few of the posters saying they were superadministrators. Is this necessary to be able to see the Parameters button?

Yes, I think so.
But you can try to do the Parameters settings in a second way.
backend --> Menus --> Your Menu with link to Phoca Gallery Component --> Your link to Phoca Gallery Component --> Menu Item: [ Edit ] --> Parameters (Component) -->
These are the same options like in Parameters.

You are very wise! The back-door approach worked just fine. From the documentation, I gather though that any changes made to the Parameters here will apply only to this particular Menu item, and will not be Global???

That`s right. But if you choose Phoca Gallery Category List Layout as Menu item you don`t need other menu items to Phoca Gallery Component and then these parameters are Global...
