I have the same problem with using Phoca in article.

When thumbnail is clicked i've got error 404 "categories not published"

I have the same problem. but its when I active SEO setting. number 1-3 not apache(mod_rewrite needed)
when I deactive SEO I have no problem.
I want to use SEO setting! what should I do ?
when I active SEO, my web site goes harsh and ugly and in new iframe(modal box) there are scroll..
Even I can't see picture EXIF information or even rate the picture .and when I click the thumbnail picture to show me full sized picture, It goes to some other location and only show category or subcategoried I am in, with only Back button!

This Article was so essential to read ! and I get my answers with SEO in phoca Gallery-phoca Download and ....
I suggest to create a new Button in Home page and Name it : HAVE SEO PROBLEMS ? CLICK HERE!
and link to this article ! (SEF in Joomla!) or add "related to Phoca product" to (SEF in joomla)=(SEF in joomla related to Phoca products) or something to shows the segnificant of this article.


I there any possible way to edit modules, to automatically create item ID for every category and subcategory or even pictures(in phoca Gallery) and for files(in phoca download)?

Hi, did you read the article? Did you create menu link to gallery, so the plugin code can get Itemid?

Hi Jan,

I have the Gallery Image Module installed and I use it to show random photos from different categories.
I have the SEO set ON and I made menu item "fotos" to the Gallery Component for the view of all categories.
If I am on one the article of the menu items, the photos in the Gallery Image Module won't work.
(404 - Category is not published)
If I am on the article from the "fotos" menu itself, then this Image Module works ....
This is probably because it then has the item-id already in the URL (which is overwritten by SEF).

How can I also make the photos in the Image Module work?

EDIT:
I guess I figured it out myself...
I made a menu-item to the Gallery Comp for a "Category List Layout". Then I pointed the Gallery Module out to NONE categorie. Because the link for the Gallery Comp - "Category List Layout" has no id in the URL, the Gallery Module has no assigned categorie needed.
