Images refuse to appear on front

Hello everyone,

I don't think this topic has ever been treated, it must be something stupid but it is really anoying me.

I can make phocagallery images to appear in an article but the same images refuse to be displayed in a module, joomla keeps showing the code instead of the image. Does this has to do with the settings ?

Here is what I can see on front:

{phocagallery view=category|categoryid=26|limitstart=0|limitcount=0}

why can't I see the image being displayed ?

what is even weirder on the same, the same code can display the images in an article but not in the module.

Why is that ?
