Language abnormal detail

Post by marioliveira »

Hi. I installed phoce guestbook. My default language is Portuguese (Portugal) and the site also operates on other languages. I copied the language files to the languiage directories. It works fine in all languages except in Portuguese, and I think the reason is your language folder is entitled pt-BT, while it should be pt-PT. I tried copying the language files to pt-PT folder, and also creating a folder pt-BR to where I also copied the files, but in eirther case it doesn't work. There is probably somewhere sobe abnormal code which for some reason does not work for the pt-BR language configuration.

The existing languages supposed to be either pt-PT ore br-BR (Brazilian Portuguese, with is not my case.

Thanks for any help.

Hi,
If you have installed the pt-PT language pack for joomla! you should have the pt-PT language folder in:
/language/
and /administrator/language/
Set portuguese to your default language for joomla front- and backend.
Download the pt-PT language pack for Phoca Guestbook here https://www.phoca.cz/download/category/5 ... -portugues
unzip the folder and copy both files to:
/language/pt-PT/
and /administrator/language/pt-PT/
This should work,
Kind regards,
Benno

Hi. I had done that before with no result. Meanwhile, I got the solution. It was a matter of inserting the file pt-BR.com_phocaguestbook.ini in the pt-PT folder AND renaming it to pt-PT.com_phocaguestbook
