new categories not shown

If i create a new category, it is not shown in the backend list. in the database it is created. How can i make the categories in the backend visible?

Hi,
if it's in the database, it should show up in backend... try resetting the display filter.

Sorry, but i don´t know what the display filter is.

in the category list (in backend), above the list on the left there is an input field and 2 buttons click the one the says reset. on the right is the filter for published and unpublished categories, make sure its on "display all"

can you see the category in frontend?

Hi Reko,

I have pushed the reset button on the left. But on the right the field just show: "Bundesland auswählen" "Freigegeben" or "Gesperrt". It doesn´t matter which one of the possibilities I choose. There is no category in the backend.

However: If I look at the pictures, I can choose the categories, which I have installed. And the pictures are in the right categories. But the list of the categories is not visible.

P.S. In the frontend I can see the categories.

Hmm... I don't know what's the problem

But "Bundesland auswählen" doesn't make sense at all... on my site it says "Status wählen". I'm still using 2.5.8, so maybe that's a bug in the new language file, but probably not the source of your problem.

I can confirm this strange naming... In 2.5.8 I also had "Status wählen", after upgrading to 2.6.1 this drop-down list is named "Bundesland auswählen"... Translation error?

Yes, it's a translation error. I checked in both the site and the admin language files:

Code: Select all

SELECT STATE=Bundesland auswählen

The English word "state" has several meanings in German. Both "Bundesland" and "Status" are valid translations but in this case "Status" would be one
