some chance to allow youtube videos embbeding from the frontend?

Hi, I think not because of security reason, in frontend it can be dangerous to let user add such type of codes into the system.

I would also like a way for users to add youtube and other videos at the frontend.

I don't think it's a security risk when you can manage who is able to add things.

My website works with registered users, it would be handy to not only have it only open to registered users but also be able to specify which registered users (admin etc)

The feature is not added. It is added to a feature list, which means that it is on a list of things that people want to be implementet in the component. The feature can then be rejected or accepted by the component maker, in this case Jan.

Hi, it is still in feature request list. the first step (managing long and short urls from youtube in admin) was done. But in the frontend still not implemented (because of time issues )

Thank you for your quick reply, i love your extensions but really have the need for this to work.
Maybe its a little stupid to ask you? but is there a work around to enjoy the nice folder layout en just to put in an embedded html code through the editor? In that way it`ll work nice from front-end
