How to re-install without losing entries?

My former web guy made changes and I can't figure out what the heck he did. Is there a way I can re-install phoca guestbook but keep all my entries? I just need to start from square one for the styling, he made a mess =( Or are there files I can overwrite? I looked inside the installation zip file but nothing looks like what I see.....

Now I really need help,, I must have made a mistake in the default.php file because now nothing is showing in the guestbook. I am in troubbbbbbbbbbbble

Hi, you can upgrade Phoca Guestbook stanard way (don't uninstall the previous version and install the new) without losing data.

Thanks, that's exactly what I did, I "upgraded" to the same version and now everything is fine
