PhocaDownload-Component and security settings

Hi

I'm using the current version of the Phoca Download-Component.

For security reasons I have protected the "administrator"-folder with .htaccess - as recommended.

With this protection of the "administrator"-folder, the download of documents in the frontend requires the username and the password. The input-form can be clicked-away without input of a username and/or password and then the documents can be downloaded. This makes no sense....

The documents are in the standard-folder of Phoca Download (not in the "administrator"-folder) , i.e. the download of documents should be possible without a username and password (in fact it is - but only after clicking-away the input-form for username and password...).

Is there something wrong in my configuration, or is it impossible to use PhocaDownload with security settings like password-protection of the "administrator"-folder?

P.S.: With the previous version of PhocaDownload this problem was not existing....

Hi, there were no changes regarding this issue. There is no server protection included in Phoca Download

Thank you for your answer. But the problem remains... I have tested again. Protecting the "administrator"-folder with .htaccess produces this error (input form for username and password). With the previous version of PhocaDownload I did not have this problem.

By the way:
In the backend in the view "files" the "category"-filter does not work. You can choose sections, but when you choose a category, the files of all categories in the section remain visible.

EDIT: NO Solution (not really, but it works):

I have downgraded to PhocaDownload version 1.1.0. Both problems (security setting and category-filter) are "fixed".

I have now protected my "administrator"-folder with .htaccess and the component ist working without errors.

EDIT:
The problem with the security setting exits also in version 1.1.0. I was wrong...
The problem with the category-filter is only in version 1.2.0

It seems that the PhocaDownload Statistics Module (not the component) produces the error.

The module requires a image ('white-space.png'), which is in the "administrator/components/phocadownload/assets/images"-folder.

Deactivating the module everything seems working without problems.

Where can I fix that (the statistics module is very nice, and I would like ti re-activate it)?
