Migration to Phoca GuestBook

Post by c a g a t a y »

Hi all

I have a guestbook (EasyBook) with more than 2000 entries
And I wanna use Phoca Guestbook (I am using Phoca in my 4 other sites)
Is there any way to migrate EasyBook to Phoca ?

Regards

Hi, see:
Documentation for converting Easy Guest Book to Phoca Guestbook by Jan Broos, maybe it can help you.

Hi Jan

Everthing I do that extend explained in conversie_easygb.txt

Except at the end of this txt;

Now in PHPMYADMIN click on the table jos_phocaguestbook_items en then click on the SQL link/button in the top menu.
Clean the editorscreen and paste the selected insert-items and click on start.

Now all the items are in the new table.
If you want you now can edit records for personalising.

I couldn't success this part

Note: I have installed a new PhocaGuestbook and created a new GuestBook (id: 1)

And where exactly do you have problem. You should run the sql query in the phpmyadmin. I didn't write this guide so I don't know exactly what should be done there but it seems lik you have some text (sql queries) and you should run them in phpMyAdmin?

Yes Jan
I am using phpMyAdmin
I wrote some queries (as explained in the txt) and gettin a SQL file (to my PC)
As I said everything are OK except last paragraph of txt..
Couldn do that...

"Now in PHPMYADMIN click on the table jos_phocaguestbook_items en then click on the SQL link/button in the top menu.
Clean the editorscreen and paste the selected insert-items and click on start."
