Hi, there is nothing to paste into the article. The Phoca PDF content Plugin works this way: if you will install it and enable in plugin manager, it will transform standard pdf links (which are displayed over the content) to Phoca PDF links.
PDF icons need to be displayed by com_content, by standard article in Joomla! (see parameters of articles)
