Hi, unfortunately, I don't know any migrator. But in Phoca Gallery, there is "Multiple Add" feature where you can add all images into the gallery at once with one button click:
- folders and subfolders will be prepared including images
- such structure will be moved to images/phocagallery folder on the server
- with clicking on multiple add and selecting the folders, Phoca Gallery ads all images to system, folders become Categories and subfolders become Subcategories.

I have too many galleries to transfer it manually. It's a pity I'm still looking for a new gallery.

Hi, did you read my previous post, in Phoca Gallery you can "import" galleries with hundreds of images in some seconds or minutes with one button click.I have too many galleries to transfer it manually. It's a pity I'm still looking for a new gallery.

Yes, I saw it. I have 300 categories. I have to do it manually and it takes a long time. If I do it, I will automatically lose 300 links.

Re: Migration from joomgallery to phoca gallery
Dear Jan,
As an amateur, I am working—on a voluntary basis—to update the completely outdated software for an international association's website (www.notocactus.eu / Joomla 3.10 ☹) while preserving as much of the existing content as possible.
The main issue arises from the repeated failure of the JoomGallery (3.3) software upgrade. To save the roughly one thousand photos hosted there (spread across several hundred directories and subdirectories), we would like to migrate to Phoca Gallery (especially since we have had excellent experiences with Phoca Download over the years).
The migration guide provided here sounds very simple but is evidently lacking in detail: I clearly cannot simply migrate the entire JoomGallery directory ("images/joomgallery") into a new, empty Phoca Gallery using "Multiple Add" (it triggers an error message because the file format isn't recognized) and expect the directories and subdirectories to be recreated automatically. Should your guide be interpreted to mean that the directories and subdirectories must first be recreated manually in Phoca Gallery, after which one could then copy all the photos from a specific directory into the newly created one?
A bit more detailed guide would be a huge help! (Many thanks in advance!)

Re: Migration from joomgallery to phoca gallery
Sorry, sorry ... !!!
Please accept my sincere apologies for my earlier comment: I had initially mistaken the video—which was actually very easy to follow—for an ad button. So sorry!
In the meantime, I have—just as promised—easily converted the numerous photos and directories into a Phoca Gallery using the method explained in the video! Unfortunately, all the image captions (names of the plants photographed, photographers, etc.) were lost in the process ☹…
I would therefore still be very grateful for any tips on how to recover and reassign those original texts!
