HI,
There is a solution from a third-party developer that meets your needs: two plugins—Stripe and Stripe Checkout. The first one is what you meant, as it works inside Phoca Cart without customers leaving the site. A lot of time was spent by the developer to make this solution ready, and it was done without the use of AI.
However, since you do not want to buy the plugin from a third-party developer as a matter of principle, you can try developing it yourself. As we have seen in this discussion, it is not easy, even with AI. If a user does not have sufficient programming skills, they can always return to the idea of buying the ready product to save time. I doubt anyone would invest their own time writing this code for someone else for free.
To be clear, this is not a question of a lack of a solution for the shopping cart. It is simply a choice to be made: either you pay for a ready solution, you invest your own time in custom development, or you pay another person to do it as a custom job for your project.
Regarding moving to another e-commerce script:
Most Joomla e-commerce scripts also provide payment add-ons as commercial products, and each of these extensions has its own advantages and disadvantages. I must mention that migration is not easy at all, especially if you have already added products. Leaving Joomla solely on the principle of not paying 49 EUR to a third-party developer would be an impulsive solution. Other solutions like WooCommerce lack the flexibility that this Joomla component offers, and WordPress is well-known for potential vulnerabilities due to its structure.
I have written this without any negative emotion. I hope my arguments are sufficient for you to consider this situation without a negative connotation.
We do not want to take your money. I simply pointed out that a solution exists, it took a lot of time for its authors to develop, and the core developers cannot physically cover all user requirements. Therefore, if a solution already exists, they focus their efforts on other activities.
Best regards,
Eugene

Re: Payment method
Then please help me with the code I shared earlier. You can give me exactly the hooks the plugin expects.
I wish to use stripe but the card details will be taken from the checkout page. This is securely provided by js. It's a normal Strip implementation. There is no need to redirect to Stripe which is horrible experience.

If your e-shop can't afford one plugin, then just close it...

Nobody will spend own time with the code journey, AI and do other's job for other person. As I wrote earlier:landed wrote: ↑14 Oct 2025, 17:36 Then please help me with the code I shared earlier. You can give me exactly the hooks the plugin expects.

1. buy the plugin
2. do it yourself
3. pay to freelancer for the custom solution
I've already suggested you buying this plugin:

49 EUR for the plugin you need. It is the optimal price for the solution. Otherwise compare how many hours you'll spend to do it yourself and how much money will you loose or budget on the same work of other person.
And I do not understand why somebody is expecting a free solution to use on the projects that earn money.
eCommerce shops are about money. So, there should be a way to reinvest money to make the site better. Phoca is free, but it does not mean everything related to this shop should be free.
