Strange effect with migrated gallery

Post by Jheroen »

Hi all,

Migrated PH Gal and Ph Downl to J3 but now some strange problem occurs.

every time someone opens a pdf (ph downl) or an image (ph Gal) the file is added to the root of Joomla
and in the root of the ph download folder?

this is not going the right way because all images are loaded from picasa and are now one by one stored on the server
the same problem is for the downloads that were opened those files are stored one by one in the root of the download folder

what is going on?

Hi, what you exactly mean with "are added to the root" - does it means, the images are stored on your server in root? If yes, unfortunately I don't have any experience with such feature, maybe some misconfiguration on the server. Really no idea what can cause such issue, I can only say, there is no such feature in Phoca Gallery or Phoca Download (to store images on server?)

Hi Jan,

I found out what probably caused the problem, the styles table was not there after migration and (it was late at night) i made some mistakes adding the table in the db by using #__ instead of xx_xx in the db.

There were several tables with the wrong prefix so i guess that was what caused this. deleted those tables and we will see tomorrow if the problem is still there, i think not :)

Hi Jheroen,

ik weet ook niet, wat je met: "all images in the root" bedoelt. Maar voor assistance to Jan, een paar gedachten, wat er miesschien het oorzak kan zijn:

Some information now for both: Hi Jan

a) the former (J 2.5) URL was: http://www.wegwijzersoest.nl/new/u-als-ouder/foto-s
see: the /new/

b) the new one: http://www.wegwijzersoest.nl/u-als-oude ... choolfeest

So, the images looks OK. If you hover via over a thumbnail, it shows:
lh.googleusercontent.com/-SR7xxxxxxxxxxxxxx.jpg

Maybe the "Picasa" is not migrated well? I don' using it.

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2874 ... f-joomla-3

Could be this the reason for? It' just an idea.
Also check the configuration.php if everything seems ok. e.g. "Path" etc.
Additional info: https://www.phoca.cz/documents/50-phoca/ ... o-joomla-3

groetjes, Christine

Hi Christine, Jan,

The old 2.5 website is still there under /oud behind the domain name.

The website is offline but complete intact.

strange thing: i migrated the website (PG) exactly like it should be migrated, did it one time again but now more and more original images (stored on Picasa) are being stored in the root of the Joomla website, that is what's going on and that is a problem...

And for today it's adding more and more images into the Joomla root on the server

Those pics should not be there, they are embedded from Picasa!
