Categories missing solved

Hi,
I have uploaded nearly 500 images in to my webdisk in the phocogallery folder.The uploaded images or in folders inside the phocogallery folder(to facilitate easy creation of categories as instructed).I created a menu item 12( and it is of Phoca Gallery Category List Layout type.But when i click on the menu item many categories are missing.Also several photos are not displayed.
please help.

can you check out in your backend if all images are there?

Go to Components >> Phoca Gallery >> Images and there you can see if all your images are added to a category. (you can filter by category).

You are right only the images which i can see in the frontend are there.But the images are there in my webdisk.So what is the problem.
Help please.

They aren't added to Phoca Gallery.

Via Multiple add you can select the images on your webdisk and select a category to add them too. (when you select a folder, it will automatically create a category or subcategory).

Hi,
Thanks for your solution.It worked.But many images are not displayed when i click on them.I get the following error message.Is it due to improper upload.

Hi,

Check out on your webdisk if the thumbs are created? (In each of your folders, there should be a thumbs folder with images)

If they're not there:
- check out your parameters (in components >> phoca gallery >> control panel >> [parameters] button) if 'thumbnail creation' is enabled

if this is set to yes, you could have some problems with thumbnail creation, see: https://www.phoca.cz/documentation/index ... s-creation

Hi,
I have a file called thumbs in every folder in phocogallery,though thumbnail creation was disabled.Enabled thumbnail creation now.I had a problem when creating thumbnails earlier.I had a error message and thumbnail creation was stopped.



Will you please go through this link and tell me why this error happens.

You don't see any images, because no thumbnails are created.

When you have an error in thumbnail creation, you should read the latest link I provided. There are some errors with thumbnail creation explained and some solutions are provided.

it is done automatically.

Otherwise you can try to resize your images and upload them to the thumbs folder, with names them like phocagallery does... (check out your other thumb folders for naming)
