I could not find where to resize the category width.
Actually phoca gallery sets the category page with 4 columns, i would like to set it to 3 columns plus to set a fixed width for the category page. is it possible? How could i do that?

In the menu-item you created, in component Parameters, there is a parameter called 'phocagallery width'. This defines the size of the box wherein the category page is displayed. You can also set the space between the images.
