Multiple add not working anymore

Hi,
i have a Joomla 1.5.10 installation that runs on my home-pc as well on my online-website.
I have phoca gallery 2.2.3 installed on both sites.

Problem with the online-website:
when i try to make a "multiple add" of pics (choose the pic-folder that i uploaded before via ftp and choosing the aim-category) it all of sudden throwes me back to the admin-loginpage ...
=> THAT does NOT happen on my "home"-pc (xampp-webserver)!

I tried to find the bug:
- I made a completely fresh Joomla 1.5.10 installation
- i created a completely new mysql-database for that installation
- the only thing i installed was Phoca Gallery 2.2.3 (no other comp/module/plg)
- did a FTP-upload of 3 pics into /images/phocagallery/test/ - folder
- created a new category called /testcat/ in the phoca-Backend
- hit the 'multiple add' button to add the 3 pics to /testcat/
... and it kicked me out to the login-page again.
BTW: i can push any button (like 'create a folder button') in 'multiple add'-screen:
... every action i make kicks me out to the login-page.

Nooo idea what is wrong . I did not had the problem a week agao AND never had it
with a fresh Joomla/Phoca-installation. 2.2.4 does not solve the problem...

Any idea?

Now I give it a last try:
My webspace runs on apache server with Linux and PHP Version 5.2.6.

1. I installed a FRESH Joomla 1.5.11 and phoca galery 2.2.4. under beez template.
2. Put a few pics to images/phocagallery/testfolder via ftp-upload.
3. Back in the phoca backend:
- created a categorie "testcat"
- changed to "Images" tab
4. Hit the "multiple add" button
- in Details doing a click on "testcat"
5. Kicked me out of the backend to admin login page.

Step 4 again:
- on the "multiple add"-page i can also click on other buttons like 'upload' or 'Create Folder' or
- mark the "testcat" and then choosing the testfolder and hit the Save-button ...
... whatever i do it kicks me out of the backend to admin login page ...

And remember: this is a totally fresh Joomla 1.5.11 BEEZ-template with phoca 2.2.4 and fresh database.

I hope someone has a fix pretty soon because i wanted to relaunch my website a few days ago.
Since the galery is not working i can't.
And i don't want to change to another galery because phocagalery was pretty good until last week ...

do you have problems too when you're using the 'add' button instead of multiple add?

Hi,
yes - same prob too. Except that the admin-login screen appears inside that "lightbox".

I also found out that it kicks me back to he admin-login when i push the cancel button while using "multiple add".
Very strange ... do you have a solution in mind?

And do you have the same problem if you use the media manager in Joomla!?

Well, the media manager works fine - I can create folders and can upload pictures.
But...
when i create a folder "test2" via Joomla media manager and
i change to phocagalery, to multiple add-view, and
click on the "test2"-folder,
it kicks me back to admin-login ...

so it really is a problem in Phoca Gallery.

What changed about your server config that it stopped working?

I have no idea what happened. Since i wonder myself that phocagalery does not work anymore even with a new, clean Joomla installation, i will give my webspaceprovider a call wheter he has change something on my server config.
I wanted to hear first your opinion (i guess you are one of the phoca team, are you?) before i call him.

I will let you know tomorrow what he has/if he has changed something.

Hi,

do you have enabled the ftp layer on your Joomla! site? Seems like this can be some problem with permission and ownership (the problem is, Phoca Gallery uses JFile and JFolder which are Joomla! methods, so there should be the same behaviour as in media manager )

Try to see your error log on your server, if you are able, maybe there will be some php error message written

Hi Jan,
no i don't have the FTP-Layer enabled (and never had before because that causes errors right from the start).
I 'hope' the webspace provider did something wrong that causes the error - otherwise i have NO idea what the problem is and i can put my site to the garbage...
As i said the probs show up with a clean Joomla installation (no other stuff added except Phocagalery 2.2.4)...
I'll let you know.
