Hello everyone,
not sure if this topic was opened by someone. I have a question about possibility to change area of the photo when the thumbnails in phoca gallery are generated. I have mixture of photos in landscape and portrait format in one gallery. I want to have square thumbnails like by default. But photos in portrait mode are cropped from the middle of photo I quess (thats means that for example heads of people are missing in thumbnails) Is there any possibility to move the area to create thumbnails for current picture? Mainly for pictures in landscapes mode. I know that I can select different thumbnails size but I want have all thumbnails in same format.

Re: thumbnails area in phoca gallery
Hi,
no, there is no such option yes, there is only one way to crop thumbnails (without defining the direction or area). So the only way is to customize it directly in the code
This is very problematic feature and mostly such feature needs some AI to recognize faces, etc
