A document had been uploaded to phoca, If i click on download when using my _ _ the document will open up on my screen. If I do the same with my mac/pc the document does not open but is sent to my computer.How can i make phoca open the document rather than send it?

This behaviour is platform specific.
Most browsers do not open a document directly, while most phones and tablets do.
A.e. Google Chrome will typically try to open the file.

Hi, Phoca Download is download component.

It tries to force downloading the files when downloading is asked and it tries to preview or play files when preview or play is asked.

To let browsers decide if the file will be open or download, just enable direct link to the files in edit of file.

Not very good at this, tried but still not working. This is what i did
phoca download, select files, choose file
file preview - select file.
The file uploaded but cannot select it what am i doing wrong

Hi, sorry, I don't understand what you mean with "The file uploaded but cannot select it"?

Not sure If I understand it correctly? Do you have problems with download or upload?

Downloads. I tried to follow your last instructions, selected a file from phoca downloads/ preview but still doesn't preview when I select only downloads

Can you paste a screenshots of which part you exactly mean? And what exactly does not work?
