Changing Collation but some fields don't!

Postby makis on 05 Sep 2009, 15:43

Dear Jan and friends of this site,
First of all i would like to thank you for your kind help and special tools. It's really appreciated!

I have a problem with the Changing Collation Tool.
I already install it to my htdocs folder (XAMPP) and run it and everything works ok (YES IT WORKS!!!And it's free)

Every Table and the Database tranform from Latin1 General Ci >>>> UTF8 General ci!

And i believe everything is ok.

But when i see inside the database some fields of the table are still remain in the old collation.

For example Table: JOS_Components / Field: option | varchar(50) | latin1_general_ci

Why this tool doesn't change everything to UTF8?

Thanks in advance for your help

Hi, really no idea why some of the fields were not changed (maybe some permissions issue, maybe some problem with database, maybe some problem with encoding - ascii )
