Category List View

Hi, we're currently in the process of upgrading our Joomla 1.5 instance to 3.6. This includes upgrading Phoca Gallery from 2.7.5 to the latest release. Before upgrading production we test every required step on a local dev instance to ensure we can maintain our existing Phoca Gallery look & feel. We actually identified an issue during testing.

We used to list or main categories as follows:


We managed to get this done for the latest release on top of Joomla 3.6 as well, the issue is when going down to the sub category level. Once you click one of the main categories we used to see the list of sub-categories like this:


I'm unable so far to get the Category List View (sub-categories) configured like this for the new Phoca Gallery release. The only look and feel that we can get is:

But this of course isn't the required list of sub-categories that we require and that we used to have.

Any idea if this is still possible or has this option been removed?

Hi, the time between version 1 and 4 is almost 10 years and a lot of changed in CSS and HTML, so some displaying methods changed of course.

So now you can find the parameters for displaying obsolete views under: Categories View - Categories View - Legacy Settings (see the options)

On last screenshots, it seems you have enabled responsive view
