Java Upload doesnt work

Post by atlantyz »

Hi,

I'm using Joomla and the Phoca Gallery. Now I want to upload pictures with the Java Uploader. But when I switch to the Java Uploader I get the message: "Unable to access to the postURL"
After that I can choose the folder to upload the pictures. But when I click on Upload, I get a Java.lang.NullPointerException error message.

Dont know what to do... :-(

Hi, maybe there is some problem in java code and the OS... Which OS do you use. Some users have noticed that the java upload has problems in Mac

I think you should optimize the java upload. I hate it. It freezes up my firefox, IE. If it can work like those photo sites or facebook, then i'm willing to give it a shot. I would love to enable for frontend upload.

You can disable the Java Upload for frontend in parameters.

Only use Windows Vista, but it doesnt work with XP too.

The problem is, that frontend user needs to upload sometimes 100 - 200 files... Have you still upload 100 files if you can only upload one file?? Then you will become crazy... :x

So I hope that the uploader will work one day ;-)

Hi,
we are also having some troubles with the java uploader: When trying to upload pictures the following message apears.
wjhk.jupload2.policies.PictureUploadPolicy.checkUploadSuccess(): The String "^SUCCESS$" was not found in the response body
see screenshot

(Windows 7 beta & firefox. on my xp machine it works fine.)

Has anyone else seen this or a similar warning??

Thanks,
/rk

Hi, returing "success" string should not be a browser and OS issue, so it should work in Win7 without any problem
