Photos Google+ (ex Picasa) not working any more

Hi, testing to connect with Picasa now and get no problems there? Do you get some error message?

Hi Jan,

I receive the following error message when I press the 'Picasa Import' button:

Opslaan mislukt door de volgende fout: Connection to Picasa not created. There are connection problems or the Picasa User was not found. Check the User field. Check if the album is published. If it is not published but unlisted, check your authentication key.

I use the following sttings:
Set Picasa User: 102728364029100910107
Set Picasa Album: 1112_8_MUSICAL
Album is set public in G+

I tried at work and at home without success.
Any more info needed?

Jan,

I just noticed that using the link needed for this album (https://picasaweb.google.com/1027283640 ... _8_MUSICAL#) only works when I am logged in using my username and password for G+.
Maybe this is the problem?
Since the album is public, what am I doing wrong? It should be possible to view the album using this link for anybody, so without logging in? Or did Google change anything?

Hi Jan,

I already tried to update this problem a number of times without success. Now, another try:

The problem is solved!
Google had disabled the account due to naming conventions (I used the schools name instead of a persons name). Because of this the problem appeared.
After changing to G+ account name and waiting for Google to approve it, everything works fine again. So it was not a problem in Phoca Gallery, but with Google. I missed the Google e-mail warning about the disabling of the account.

In my case, when I import from Picasa, I receive the message sometimes.
Most of the times it is directly after I changed the album to Public-access.
Then i have to wait for about 5 minutes.
When I try agian, Phoca Gallery is importing the image correct.

Now Google announced to stop with Picasaweb, I hope the import of images from Google+ to Phoca Gallery will be working as fina as it did with Picasa.

Hi, I have tested now importing images from Google+ and Phoca Gallery 4 and get no problems (the only one issue was with albums which are not public - for them I needed to switch from Google+ to Picasa (this is possible now) and get the Authentication Key. Then it worked well) ... for now this seems like if you create album in Google+ this is accessible per Picasa API. Not it works, if there will be some changes I will try to adapt them (if this will be possible - not sure as there is Google+ API to import images)

Hi, Phoca Gallery 4 is a Joomla 3 component (directly created for Joomla! 3 - it will not run on Joomla! 2.5 as Joomla! 2.5 and Joomla! 3 are completely different systems )
