Version 3.0.0 RC4, Joomla 1.6
Themes not installed.
Say:
Failed to copy file to
Unable to find required information in install package

Manual copy work, but if press Greate Background Image, theme is clear

Same problem here.

Same issue for me, relatively new 1.6 install with only Phoca Gallery installed. I get both errors already mentioned.

Do not know how to manually copy files to their proper location.

I was using Extension Manager.

I tried in Theme view in Phoca Gallery and got
"Copy failed Failed to copy file to Unable to find required information in install package" on black, inverse and ocean in every combination of tick choices.

Wish I had more hints as to cause, but i cannot. I can Skype you if you want. I am boblepp on Skype.

The theme .zip contains many .png files and one .xml file

Is this what should be in the .zip?

Is the .xml the required component the message shows as missing?

Should this work in 1.6?

Is there any news on what may be causing the error for just some of us? Would love to try out the themes.

Same problem. Version 3.0.0 RC4, Joomla 1.61
"Copy failed Failed to copy file to Unable to find required information in install package" in red.

Somebody has solved a problem with installation themes in 3.0.0 RC4?


P.S. Joomla 1.62 - same problem.
