Same problem here.
I think it would be really nice if we could choose the top category for "List Of Categories (Categories View)".
Also subcategories should have an option to be shown as "List Of Categories (Categories View)" instead of "List of Images (Category View)". The way subcategories are handled now is just awkward.
But it's still the best gallery for joomla
