phoco gallery 3.0.1 beta error creating category

I have installed 3.0.1 beta on joomla 1.6. Installation was OK.
Now i want to create a category and it keeps telling me that the category must have a title.
But i have typed a title in that entry. So what can be the problem.

this happens mostly if not all tables were created during installation process.
