Exif Rotation not applied for picture uploads

Hi there,
a similar discussion evolved around Phoca Gallery years ago, where the problem has been resolved by adding a parameter to control if EXIF rotation is considered upon a picture upload.

Unfortunately, the same problem exists for Phoca Cart. Uploaded pictures which are configured as portrait via EXIF information will (after thumbnail creation) be displayed as landscape. The only way to circumvent this seems to re-save the picture, so that the actual picture dimensions are saved as portrait, instead of relying on correct EXIF interpretation.

Any chance the same option could be offered for Phoca Cart?
