Open Graph preview not updating for video pages after replacing capcut-exported thumbnails (Phoca SEO / Joomla)

Hi everyone,

I’m running into a strange issue with Open Graph previews on video pages using Phoca SEO/Open Graph setup inside Joomla. The workflow is pretty simple on my side: I upload short-form demo videos (usually edited and exported through cepcutapk), then I embed them into Joomla articles using Phoca Gallery/Media components. For social sharing, I rely on Phoca Open Graph to auto-generate the preview image and metadata.

The problem I’m seeing is that after replacing or updating the video (especially when I re-export from capcut with a new thumbnail frame), the Open Graph preview does not refresh correctly. Instead, it keeps showing an older cached image or sometimes a completely unrelated frame from the previous upload.

What I’ve already checked:

Cleared Joomla cache and browser cache
Regenerated Phoca Open Graph metadata
Verified that the new CapCut export thumbnail is correctly uploaded and replaced on the server
Checked file names and paths (they are identical after overwrite)

But the OG preview still seems “stuck” on the old image when sharing on platforms like WhatsApp / Discord / Facebook debugger. Has anyone experienced similar behavior with dynamically updated video thumbnails?
