Multiple Image upload.

Post by glfowkes »

Hi, new here, but a long-time user of Phoca products. After a long pause, I've decided to go back to Phoca Gallery as it offers more functionality. However, I seem to be having issues uploading multiple photos at once; the error is "
Your browser doesn't have Flash installed
".
I see img is off so not sure how to add an image so here's a link.

Obviously, I know that Adobe deprecated Adobe Flash a while back, but is there some workaround around, or am I missing something?
For the record, I'm using Edge but also have Chrome, not tried that yet, but as Edge is built on Chrome, I expect similar results.
Apologies if this has been resolved, I did have a search but everything seems out of date.
Thanks
Gary

Hi,
Which Joomla! version do you use?
Which Phoca Gallery Component version do you use?
Which PHP version do you use?
Do you use frontend or backend multiple upload or both?

Kind regards,
Benno

Hi Benno,
Yes, sorry, that would probably help.
I use the following.
Joomla 5.4.0
Phoca Gallery 5.1.3
PHP 8.2.29

At the moment, I just use the back-end upload, or I'm trying to.
Thanks,
Regards
Gary

Hi,
Check in Phoca Gallery Options whether you are using the 'HTML5 Uploader':

When I use the 'HTML5 Uploader', I don't get the error message you mentioned with your versions of Joomla! Phoca Gallery, and PHP.

Thanks, Benno,
That's weird, it was set to HTML 5, so I thought Meh, change it to HTML 4. It then started working, so I thought, " Let's see what happens when I put it back to HTML 5, It kept working.
Not sure what it was, but it's now fine.
Thanks for that mate, much appreciated.
