Pagination Question

Why is it so diffcult to just have e pagination in the bottom ... perhaps it's a bug ?

I find a bit of comfort in seeing that I am not the only one. This product is so well done I can't believe something this basic does not work. In cases like this I always think I am missing something.....but maybe not if I am not the only one. Thing is, the users are suffering as they only see 20 of the pictures in the album.

Caro or Jan have perhaps a screenshot of the checkbox we have to use ?
I think the problem is known because it would be strange that we are the only one having the same problem in the same time ?

Hye all perhaps i have found our problem.

When i created the button menu to link the page, i create a link that poitn directly on a specific category :

and we can see that on the right nothing is available to change parameters.

But when i create another button in my menu link to the phoca gallery. All tha parameters i need appears


And my problem disappear because the pagination is now at the bottom of my page.

But in fact another problem born :/
With this kind of button i show all tha categories available and i just want to see one of it but i can't specified a particular link with a button link on a component. Is there a solution to change Link (lien in french") in this page :


I think there are simple solution but i can't modify simply this link so ...

You may be on to something with the menu parameters (and that might be what caro84g was talking about) but in my case there is no menu item. I am using Phoca Tree View (mod_phocagallery_tree) which displays the albums (category hierarchy) on the side of every page. The only control it offers is enable/disable, position, and show on which pages. Nothing about pagination.

I post a screenshot of a menu item, type category list layout, in the type category layout you'll see 'select category' on top. In the screenshot a large red circle is drawn around the 'basic parameters'.

I'm in Menus > Main Menu > Phoca gallery Menu item

If you're using not a menu-item to display, then I'll advise you to create a menu item in an hidden module. Otherwise you can get SEF problems with the detail view (and this way you control the parameters). To do that see: https://www.phoca.cz/documents/2-phoca-g ... _displayed

Thanks for the input, I think we are starting to get somewhere.

If I create a Phoca Gallery Category List Layout menu item and publish the menu item with pagination is set to show (as you have illustrated) then navigate to a gallery via the link, yes page numbers will appear. First time I have seen it! At the same time pagination will appear if one navigates to galleries via tree view. This is good.

So now my only problem is, I don't want a menu item displaying and prefer only to use the tree view menu.

Your suggestion is to create a menu item in a hidden module. How exactly is that done?

I hope I can put this plain and simple:

- create a new menu via the menu manager.
Title: hidden menu, name: hidden menu, module name: hidden menu
- add the phocagallery link to this 'hidden menu' and set it to published and to public!

Joomla! has created a menu, and a menu module. If you go to the module manager, you'll see an unpublished menu module called 'hidden menu'. Just keep it that way.

Right now, a menu exists, a menu item exists, and it isn't visible on your website, because the module is unpublished. (if you use the search function, you'll find the menu item).

You did put it plain and simple and being that I have only 10 days experience with Joomla, that is exactly what I needed. 2 minutes after reading your instructions I have created a hidden menu and my problem is solved. Both Pamka and I thank you for taking the time to detail this procedure.
