Is there some way to get only the photo that corresponds with a search outcome to display when the result is selected rather than displaying the page of photos the specific photo is located on? It would be much more convenient if, when a user searches and selects a photo from the results list, only that photo was displayed.

Most of the Search Plugin forum activity is under the Phoca Plugins section.

I would recommend editing the Search Plugin (and the Joomla Search Component) to display a thumbnail, allow the thumbnail to open a modal popup when clicked, and update the text link in the search results to advance to the correct page of the target category.

See here and here. Not quite a walk-through, but they detail a lot of what needs to happen.

Thanks. Sorry about posting here. Didn't even think about the plugins forum since my mind was thinking Gallery. Hopefully I'll be able to make sense of the coding.
