Hello,
I have to do an Phoca Download component upgrade as soon as possible. My current version is 1.0.6. I want to ask if it is safe to upgrade to the latest version, because I wouldn't like to mess up things (by the way this is the reason why I haven't upgraded for so long).
Also is there a tutorial on how to perform an upgrade?

it is guide for Phoca Gallery but it is the same for Phoca Download.

If you will install new version of Phoca Download you need to click on UPGRADE not on INSTALL (while installation all obsolete table data will be lost). If you click on upgrade, new files will be copied (backup the files which were customized if there were any) and Phoca Download add tables or columns which are missing in your database.


Of course the best way before doing something on your site is backup your database and files
