Hi,
there is no 'safe' way to protect your images... Watermarking is a good way to mark your images, nothing can stop people from downloading them, even if it has to be by taking a sreenshot.
Also keep in mind: the /images/phocagallery/ -folder is publicly available (if you know the url, which is not hard to guess, everyone can access the original images (which are not watermarked by pg)!
