I've deleted the 4 occours of

Code: Select all

if ($this->categories[$i]->numlinks > 0) {echo '<span class="small">('.$this->categories[$i]->numlinks.')</span>';}
in /components/com_phocagallery/views/categories/tmpl/default.php

and also in /components/com_phocagallery/views/category/tmpl/default.php
but the written
Number of images in category:
is still there!!! :x :x :x

Am I doing something wrong????

PS: of course I also cleared the firefox cache all the times....

ok...as always when I ask for help, after few minutes I solve my problem....

in components/com_phocagallery/views/categories/tmpl/default.php I've deleted

Code: Select all

 echo
    '<tr><td>'.JText::_('Number of images in category') .': </td>'
    '<td>'.$this->categories[$i]->numlinks.'</td></tr>'
    '<tr><td>'.JText::_('Category viewed') .': </td>'
  .'<td>    '.$this->categories[$i]->hits.' x</td></tr>';
Hope this will be useful for someone else! :wink:

I know this is an old topic - but it solves how to do exactly what I wanted.

I had a question though - is it okay to manipulate the core phocagallery files like this? Or would it be better to create a template override for this so that we can upgrade our phocagallery without worry? Would that work also?

Hi, depends on you which method you prefer. Small hack with updating it every time you will update the gallery, or making the override output where you maybe need to check all the new feature to implement them. :idea:

Good point Jan! Hadn't thought of that... and as you pointed out it's a small hack. I was just curious on your thoughts :)
