Hi all,

just installed the gallery on my localhost test site, and everything works fine with on exception - NO IMAGES Thumbnail creation fails, and when trying to view the full image it shows a blank as well. Test images were normal JPG's, averaging 640x480. GD lib is 2.034, Joomla is 1.5.15, PHP 5.2.6. The only error I get is error(1) during automatic thumbnail creation.

Please help?

Thanks, but as far as I can see, Phoca Gallery has it's own mechanism for thumbnails, and besides, this is not the only problem.

Anyone?

UPD: Just to clarify:

Images added in the control panel, but no thumbs

and when clicked (regardless of method I use, e.g. Lightbox, Modalbox, etc.) I get an empty frame as well.

And yes, the images were successfully uploaded and are where they should be.

Really, really need to make this work!

enable the Thumbnail Creation!

- your picture shows it is disabled - the red X left to the categories selection at the top. if tumbnail creation is disabled not thumbnails are generated - so the cannot show!

You can enable them in the global parameters - and then need to navigate away from this page and then to the picture page again and the thumbnail gerneration should start.

When auto thumbs creation is enabled, the gallery gives ERROR(1) on the 1st image. And besides, it's not only thumbnails, regular size images also don't display!

Hi, try to check the paths (url creating on your site), try to add here the site so see the urls in your html.

Hi, unfortunately have the same problem here. The pictures are uploaded correctly but they won't be displayed in Phoca. There is only an empty frame in the gallery but if I download the picture (empty frame) then I can see the picture in a viewer.
In the media menu of joomla the pictures are visible.

The other strange this is that when I enable "thumbnails creation" then the web site seems to hang. I see only the message "Stop Thumbnails Creation" for hours.

I think I have solved my problem. One picture crashes the thumbnail creation. After the crash I had to enable automatic thumbnail creation again.

HI I've got the exact same problem. I've deleted all photos and started again but it still happens. Turning on thumbnail creation throws error messages. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?
