I changed the size of my images to make them bigger and all is good. My problem is I am struggling to update the images already uploaded before I changed the size. I have tried deleting them completely from the server and uploading again from scratch, but they seem to still use the old smaller settings ?

have you cleared the caches? Both browser cache and Joomla cache?

Yes. I've been clearing caches and scratching my head.

However, I have worked out why I have been having a problem. I assumed only one thumbnail was created - then resized in the script. So I was only deleting "phoca_thumb_l_..." I did not associate "_l_" with large. By chance this evening I scrolled down further and discovered "phoca_thumb_m_..." and then "phoca_thumb_s_.."

Problem solved !!
