My website is Joomla 5, but Phoca Cart is officially v4. The last button to initiate a purchase, the Checkout button, refuses to show correctly. Instead is shows about 5 error messages.

So I installed the Phoca Cart version 5 betas, and now it all is worse. I get a 1054 error and the checkout.html page will not display.

Is it possible to re-install v4? What else might I try?

Phoca Cart 4 is not a version for Joomla 5. For Joomla 5 you need to have Phoca Cart 5 - it is now in RC version. So if installed correctly, it works normally in Phoca Cart 5:

In case you have somehow updated the old instance which was not made for Joomla 5 and you get some error there, then:

1) if possible, install Phoca Cart 5 from scratch
2) if not, enable php error reporting and see the error including trace, maybe there will be needed some manual SQL update in database - depends on the error message.
