Main menu disappering

I a have a site set up with a gallery from one category. When clikking on the link to the menu to open the gallery, the main menu disappers(horisontal). If I place the menu in the sidebar, with the frame and header, it's only the menu items that disapear. If the browser widt is reducede and the menu collapses it is possible to klik on the burger icon and the menu items is there, but the menu folds back before it can be clikked?
It is the same with a link to Phoca download.
It's running on Joomla 5 with the Cassiopeia template.

Hi,
you use Joomla! 4 versions of Phoca Gallery (4.5.5) and Phoca Downbload (4.0.7) with J5.
Please use J5 versions for testing:

Kind regards,
Benno

Hi, which template do you use? If not the standard, try to test it with Cassiopeia. Do you get the same problem? Phoca Gallery or Download do not have any feature which can somehow manage menus. So try to see menu options, try to see if some system plugin does not change it or some template framework, etc.

Hi,
Is the gallery-planter menu also assigned to the sidebar-left module? Because it works with the other menus.
BTW: you have activated both CSS in: Styles.
So: activate
either theme_simple.css
or theme_standard.css:

You can see that the gray bar with writing is wider than the picture.
Also check the measurements for l, m,s. Change it, if wanted.
Thumbnails just have to be regenerated afterwards.
category > images > recreate.
Kind regards
Christine

I'm unshure what you men by assigning the gallery to the side-bar, it's not an menu??
Changing template diden't help, deleting some custom css and trying to assign all menu items to be shown everywhere didden't help either?
Testing in different browsers is the same, and there isen't any PHP error report?

Hi, I see your page but don't see which menu link is to gallery, so I can test it.
As I wrote above, both Phoca Gallery and Phoca Download do not have any tool to somehow influence menus (or modules), so there needs to be some option in the module, etc which somehow prevents from displaying it on some pages.

Try following:
a) Menus > Side bar right > gallery > Check: Module Assignment > Side bar right > Display All > Published: Yes.
b) Klick on Side bar right > Edit module settings >
c) Menu Assignment > On all pages
d) Layout > Dropdown or Collapsible Dropdown (from Cassiopeia Template)
deleting some custom css ...
> Why? Maybe you deleted necessary segments?

Hi,
thank you Christine for the link to gallery. I see it now. Yes, unfortunatelly hard to say what can be wrong here and why there are not any modules like menu - mostly this is caused by module options when they are not assigned to the menu link (in this case the menu link should be galleri-planter)

I found the problem, when using any collapsible menu layout (from module or template) the menu dissapears when clicking the menu item(Phoca download and phoca Gallery). With dropdown or standart the menu stays and works, but the styling changes sligtly??
Now I can get going with the setup, but can't get a collapsible menu for mobile devices?
The CSS i deleted was my own custom css, usede with another template.
