Hello Phoca team,
we use phoca download in a J3 installation with lots of PDF files.
We use the search with searchindex of Joomla.
The Phoca Download Search Plugin is set to "File View"
If we search for files with the Joomla search we sometimes get the error:
"File
No rights to access this category available"
If you use the up-arrow than you see the category with the files list and you find the searched file.

• We have no limitations on downloads.
  All Phoca plugins are set to public.
  all cetegories are set to public
  all files in the categories are set to public.

At search result #4 (Hundesteuersatzung Lesefassung Stand 01.2023) you see the problem. If you use the small green arrow on the right side you see the doc for download.

What do I do wrong?
How can we get the correct search results?

I checked more details and I hope they will help solving the problem.
When Joomla search indexes the webpage than for the above example Hundesteuersatzung Lesefassung Stand 01.2023 you get this URL: https://feldkirchen-westerham.de/index. ... ry&id=1699 . Of course the result is empty when I call this URL directly for the reason we do not have a category #1699.
If I change the url from "category" to "file": https://feldkirchen-westerham.de/index. ... le&id=1699 that should be (in my understanding^^) the right url but than we get the error with "no rights on the category". But none of the categories have other rights than public!
Anyone any idea why the search delivers such results and how we can solve this?

I see the links in this post are no longer correct, because the files have changed.
Now it is https://feldkirchen-westerham.de/phoca/ ... -2023.html
but the problem is still the same.
We have no explicit rights on the categories or on the files but some of files are not available within the search results.
You get the message: No rights to access this category available

But if you go to the site where the files are listed (not the search result) than you can download it properly without any right restrictions:
https://feldkirchen-westerham.de/gemein ... hunde.html (second file "Hundesteuersatzung Lesefassung Stand 01.2023")

Has anybody read this problem and can help me solving it?
Maybe anybody there is a problem within the Joomla searchindex?
We set Phoca Download Finder Plugin (Files) to "Direct Download" buit setting it to "File View" doesn't change anything.

Any suggestions?

Hi, when you disable SEF (only for test), do you get the same problems?
When you disable only the suffix in URL (.html), do you get the same problems?
