I can't understand how to show the icon for a document link using the shortcode. The documentation only mentions a size and how how it's applied.

Link I have (curlies replaced) : (phocadownload view=file|id=5|target=s)

Where and how does the icon go?

Hi,
The easiest way is to install and activate not only the Phoca Download Plugin, but also the Phoca Download Button Plugin. Then, by inserting the code created by the button plugin, you can display the desired link or button at any point of an article.
