Hi,
I want to replace the image of the category directory.
I have filled in the "image" field in the Category, it is only displayed if it is in a Category used by Phoca
I would like to use a generic image that does not belong to one of the categories.
Is it possible ?

No, because Phoca Gallery needs tumbnails to display as categories image. But they do not exist if they are not created.

Hi, yes, you can only select image which is included in gallery, so the image has the same size, etc. like all other images in gallery. You can select even images which will be not displayed in gallery (e.g. unpublished images) So then the image will be displayed as category but not inside gallery.

In the category that the image should represent, but just set to 'unpublished'. Then the image is not displayed in the category, but only as an image that represents the category.

Set the previously loaded image to not published in the images category:



Categories > select category > General Options > fill in the image name:
