Hi phocas!
Dunno if this was asked before:
is there a possibility to give guest book entries a number (Self-numbering of entries)?
Means first entry = No. 1: Guest ( pqdj@sadfhl.de) Titel Hello 'til .... 45. entry is No.45: Guest45 ( pqdj@sadfhl.de) Titel Hello for the 45th time
I couldn't find anything to active in the options?

If it could be possible  - when i 'ld delete i.e the 44th entry: will entry 45 automatically change to no. 44?
Or does it stay as No.45?

Thanks for all your great stuff!

Cheers

Hi, there is no such option, this must be customized in the code :-(

oh i see ...
BTW, how about some coding  ? And viola - "we have a Guestbook v1.3.3 :D
Just kidding... but numbered entries would be a very welcome feature (like having that in boards),
esp. if a guestbook has very much entries (I remember some flash-guestbooks had numbering).
Do you think you could make it? I would love to have such a feature, hopefully others too...

Cheers

Do the numbers need to stay the same if you delete an earlier post? In your example, does 45 need to stay 45?

If not, then you might be able to use a Template Override to add a counter for each comment. Comments to be renumbered if earlier posts are deleted. If that is not viable, you may need to wait for the feature to become available.
