I installed phoca gallery onto a fresh 1.5. I then had some template related issues and had to re-install demo content, which seemed to erase previous mod installs. So I attempted to re-install phoca but received the following error:
Component Install: Another Component is already using directory: "/home/wwwpart/public_html/components/com_phocagallery"

Via FTP i made sure the directory was not there but the error persists.

Did you remove both folders:

- components/com_phocagallery
- administrator/components/com_phocagallery


In some FTP clients, you see non-actualized folder tree, you must actualize it (e.g. in FileZilla - F5)
