the easiest way is to delete the selected characters in Parameter component - Standard Captcha Characters, see:

Hi Jan,
somehow I am not able to change Parameters for Captcha.
I did change the Captcha Characters to Numbers only, but it will still display numbers, letters and capitals.
Preferences are safed correctly, and every other change does take effect on the frontside, except for the Selection of Characters.
Maybe you can check if you can replicate this error, otherwise it may be an error on my side.
thanks for all your hard work,
Mario

Hi,
Did you change this parameter in menu link to the phoca Guestbook - in e.g. Menus - Phoca Guestbook Menu link - Parameters component ... Parameters component override the default settings ...
If you have select boxes in parameters component with 'use global' value, they take the values from default settings, but input forms like text or text area doesn't have any 'use global', so it must be set in Parameters component if a menu link was created...

Jan,
That link you provided comes up 404-Not Found
That's basically the issue I'm having right now as well, but figure I might not have configured it correctly yet, so I'm going through everything.
[EDIT: Here's the error:]
404 - Resource not found
