Images inserted into "Daily Menu" item disappear when "Saved"

I can’t get Phoca Restaurant Menu Lite 3.1.0 to work properly with images inserted into "Daily Menu" group item. I create a new item in the “Daily Menu” group. I put in some text and insert an image. When I save the item, the picture and the img code disappears. I tried inserting a picture from the Phoca Gallery. The Phoca Gallery code appears and doesn’t disappear upon saving. But once published the picture doesn’t display. Just the Phoca Gallery code and my text. I’ve tried installing Phoca Restaurant Menu on three different websites. I've tried JCE and Tiny Mice editors. All have the same result. Joomla 3.8.5 Windows 10 64 bit.
