Hi,

I'm using Phoca Galerie 4.3.6 but mentioned this problem in every version I installed so far.
After opening a picture in deatail window, the download button doesn't work properly. It displays the 'modal box' at full screen then. 'Save as...' let users only download a .html-file. Is there an easy fix for that which I just did not found yet?

Hi, can you paste a screenshot or link to the site where this occurs to see what you exactly mean?

Hi Hannes,

Try following: Control Panel > Options > Category View > Display Download Icon > Display (direct download)
(for download: there is no need to open in detail view).

I tried to change settings to direct download but nothing happens. Even the link is the same.
I know that you don't need the detail view before downloading. But users who want do see the detail view before downloading are not able to do so afterwards. If you don't click detail view before, the download works perfectly.

The gallery is very big for registered users, but it the public part sould be enough to comprehend the problem.

- just try click on a download link (download will be fine)
- click to open a detail view (works normal, too)
- try downloading the same image again (the 'modal box' will open in full screen mode with a lesser resolution picture)

Wops.. ok just tried to disable cache for phoca gallery. Now the problem is solved!
May there is a fix for that with cache enabled - but this works for now. I'll let cache on for a bit to let you see what I meant.

Hi, the cache is a Joomla! cache feature not directly the component. Didn't only clearing the cache help? (so it can be still enabled)

Sorry - ich schreib jetzt auf Deutsch weiter.. ist leichter und wird dem Anschein nach auch verstanden ;)

Ich hab tatsächlich in den Optionen von Phoca Gallery unter 'Allgemeine Einstellungen' -> 'RSS (Feed) - Einstellungen' den Cache deaktiviert und nicht komplett auf der HP. Cache löschen setzt das ganze zwar wieder auf 0, sobald mal aber das Bild wieder in der Detail Ansicht öffnet, ist der Download wieder nicht mehr möglich.

Wenn ich die Seite teste, habe ich mit Download da kein Problem

Sorry.. nun nochmal.. Weihnachten und so.. hatte Cache in allgemeinen Eistellungen - > Feeds kurzzeitig wieder auf 'Nein'
gestellt. Nun ist wieder auf ja. Problem ist auch wieder da.

Did you check it with another browser, I still get no problems when downloading the images from the site
