Cooliris 3D Wall: Help!

I have got to be the most stupid developer out there. I cannot for the life of me, figure out how to get this to work.

The galleries work in every other layout, minus this one. And of course, it is the one that I really really want to use.

I have put the crossdomain.xml in my root (both server root and site/domain root.) Neither nor both of these are working. For some reason, I am still getting the message that I need to put this into the site root.

What did I mess up? this is me -> :x Though I wouljd really perfer to be a :twisted: gal instead.

:idea: :? :roll: :( :cry:

If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. I had found one other post where someone had/has the same exact problem I have. However, there was no answer or reply to them about this.

If anyone has any ideas please let me know. Thank you so very much ahead of time.

Peace,

Still no go.
I am being told:
"Almost there!

Code: Select all

<cross-domain-policy>
    <allow-access-from domain="*.cooliris.com" secure="false" />
</cross-domain-policy>
To allow us to read your feed, you need a crossdomain.xml file at the root of your webserver."
Now, I have done a search on these forums and have found several people stating the same problem. However not one bit of information on how to help the people. There has to be someone that has any idea on why the Cooliris is not working for our sites?

And YES, I have (as well as at least three other posts I found) have put the xml file in the root of their site and server.
I have several sub domains as well as other sites hosted on my server, so I have tried almost every combination I could think of putting this darned file.

I have even gone to their site ( ) and tried a crossdomain.xml file from them. Still no go. Does not work, nada :(

So, anyone have any ideas, hair brained or not? I am willing to try almost anything.

:( maybe try to save it in some other folder (if there are more domains), try to check server settings (for possible restrictions) :(

Hi Jan
I am having the same problem.
I am using coloris but it is saying add this code to cross domain xml file in your root directory.

<cross-domain-policy>
<allow-access-from domain="*.cooliris.com" secure="false" />
</cross-domain-policy>

But on on webhost i am unable to add any file at the root.
My hosting is free hosting.
Is their any other way to solve the problem.
Appreciate your product and free help.
my website is www.paschimheroesfc.com
under About PHFC>photo Gallery link that will take you to the page where the wall is displayed with this code.

Hi, if you have problem to add the file to root, there are only two ways you can do :idea: :

- ask your webhosting how to add this file to root
- ask on cooliris or adobe if there is other place where you can paste the file (I think there isn't :( )

Thanks Jan,
I have asked my webhost but their told me that placing a file in root directory is permitted only to paid users.
So that option is no more, i have fixed this problem creating a file manually in photos folder name 1.rss and adding following details for each image:

Picture A

This one's my favorite.

I am not sure if this will help to others.

Hi Jan
FORGET THIS POSTING....

I had a problem with Cooliris, but it was only a cache-problem in Firefox. I removed cache and.

I see a filled Cooliris... Happy again.....

Leo

I've tried to start a Cooliris wall as well in Phoca Gallery 2.5.8, but also with me, it doesn't work.

I get the Cooliriswall, but no pictures (black fields).
I clicked on one of the black picturefields and offcourse i got an black picture.
Then i clicked on this picture to open it full screen it says:
Not Found
The requested URL /images/phocagallery//images/phocagallery/Familiedagen/14092009/thumbs/phoca_thumb_l_IMG_4552.jpg was not found on this server.
So: it calls the map images/phocagallery twice, one time to much.

In the link to Cooliris view I selected the subcategory 14092009 under the categorie Familiedagen as you see.

Where am i going wrong...?

PS: yes, I made a RSS feed for this subcategory. This created feed checked and it looks ok, no double images/phocagallery.....

<atom:icon>http://www.mydomainname.nl/components/c ... /atom:icon>

Phoca Gallery

Phoca Gallery

IMG_4548

AND the same for all the other photo's

Hmm,

Code: Select all

and [quote] doesn't work for me......

Hi,
Hmm, code and quote doesn't work for me
you should enable it in profile.

Do you run the last version of Phoca Gallery, this should be fixed. there should not be double // anymore :idea:

I already edited my posting with the remark that it turned out to be a browser-cache problem. So it's solved.

I will put Code and quote in my profile.

Thank for your remark.
